Basic Homesite Configuration
(First Draft)
There are two steps to configuring Homesite for compatibility with your web scripting assignments. The first must be dealt with when you run the program for the first time. You will be required to complete a first run wizard before the program will start. The only default settings that need to be changed in the wizard are those involving server technologies. Make sure you turn off all references to Cold Fusion (CFML), ASP, etc..
The second step involves changing settings within the program. Program settings changes are made from the Settings... item in the Options menu. There are to many to type out in a list, so a slide show of the settings dialog will be used instead. Simply change any of your settings that don't match the slides so that they do. Changing the Font Faces and sizes is completely optional, of course.
Don't forget to replace the default document template with the one posted on the Computer Sciences Forum. It should be located in the Program files\Macromedia\Homesite\Wizards\HTML folder or on a path very similar to that.
